Ideated and conceptualized by the citizen sporting council, Palaso aims to recognize and award the excellent sporting talent in its neighbourhoods.
Held across the fortnight in the month of March, the fourth edition of Palaso witnessed the participation of over 700 citizens. The event was inaugurated with multiple dance performances interspersed with a sports drama and yoga act. Citizens competed in various sports, including a marathon, carrom, chess, kabaddi, kho-kho, football, basketball, table tennis, badminton, and others held across the Olympic Sports Complex, Lakeshore Club, and the open streets of Lakeshore Greens and Downtown. And those who excelled made it to the prestigious ‘Wall of Fame.’
The sporting festival concluded with a closing ceremony held at the The Shri Ram Universal School. It was presided over by the sporting legends of Palava: Former Indian swimming champion Rupale Repale and Karate Master Amit Patil. In addition to presenting awards to the winners, these legends shared inspiring stories about their journey and lent valuable guidance to the talented participants.
