Palava’s Got Talent is an annual property designed for Palavians to showcase their talent at the city level. In its 2nd season, it continued to bring forth unique and unmatched talent. This season saw exceptionally skilled, heart-warming and show-stopping performances across genres.
Over 100 residents across age groups registered for ‘Palava’s Got Talent Season 2’ across the categories of dancing, singing, acting, mimicry, instrumental play, and more. Held over two weeks, the competition began with two rounds of auditions and concluded with a starry finale at the Palava Carnival, held at the Lakeside Park in December’21.
The program received a phenomenal response and the audience thoroughly enjoyed watching each of the participants showcase their unique talent. The open sky and starry night made for a perfect setting. It was a true pleasure for PCMA team and the residents to usher in a new season full with talent, dreams, laughter, entertainment, and inspiration.
Heartiest congratulations to the winner, Moheet Leo, our 26-year-old solo dancer who made many groove to his hip hop dance on Adnan Sami’s classic, ‘Lift Karade.’ Moheet took home cash reward of 25,000! In tow was First Runner-Up, Shrirang Krishnan, our 24-year-old solo singer, who was consistent with his performance since day one and stole many hearts with his beautiful rendition of the ‘Chunar’ ‘Teri Mitti,’ & ‘Vande Mataram.’ And he was given a tough competition by our Second Runner-Up, Tejaswini Girish Joshi, our 16-year-old solo singer who sang the famous ‘Mere Dholna’ from Bhul Bhallayya.
And if you are wondering who adjudged these upcoming talented artists, they were our very own too! ‘Palava’s Got Talent Season 2’ jury panel included resident Utpala Saha, a certified classical singer, Arpita Singh, a certified classical dancer, and the multi-talented Hitakshi Pandya, a theatre artist, radio jockey, and a TV anchor. The guest jury for the finale was Smita More, a renowned artist known for her immense contribution to classical dancing.
Palava’s Got Talent endeavours to provide citizens the opportunity to showcase their skills, influence and inspire the budding artists amongst the residents. Mind blowing is how we would define this season of Palava’s Got Talent.
